Rural Fire Prevention and Protection for foreign community - Defesa da Floresta: sessão dirigida à comunidade estrangeira

On the 20th of March, the Sertã's Municipal Council Bulding hosts an awareness session aimed at the foreign community residing in the municipality. Starting at 10 a.m. and concerning forest defense, the session is promoted by the Municipality of Sertã in partnership with the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC), the Nature Protection Service (SEPNA) of the National Republican Guard (GNR) and the SIM Project – Sertã Mediation and Inclusion.

This session pretends to introduce the administrative organization of the territory, as well as the entities involved in forest defense and firefighting and also the criteria of the fuel management ranges with regard to the elimination of herbs and weeds, pruning and the distances allowed between trees and between trees and buildings.

This session is the first of several sessions concerning forest, aimed at the entire population, which will take place in parishes in the municipality of Sertã, and will be announced shortly.

A 20 de março, a partir das 10 horas, o Edifício dos Paços do Concelho acolhe uma sessão de sensibilização direccionada à comunidade estrangeira residente no concelho. Alusiva à Defesa da Floresta, a sessão é promovida pelo Município da Sertã em parceria com Autoridade Nacional de Emergência e Protecção Civil (ANEPC), Serviço de Proteção da Natureza (SEPNA) da Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR) e Projeto SIM – Sertã Mediação e Inclusão.

O objetivo da sessão passa por apresentar a organização administrativa do território, assim como as entidades envolvidas na defesa da floresta e combate a incêndios e os critérios das faixas de gestão de combustível no que diz respeito à eliminação de herbáceas e mato, desramação e as distâncias permitidas entre árvores e entre estas e edifícios.

Esta sessão marca o início de sessões diversas sobre a temática da floresta, direccionadas a toda a população, que decorrerão em freguesias do concelho da Sertã, as quais serão brevemente divulgadas.
